Aux in.....quick question

Just a quickie, for a soon-to-be owner (my `07 si Coupe arrives on Friday, yeehaaaaa :evil: )

Does it have an aux-in, as standard, that I can plug my iPod/Phone into ? I know I won`t be able to control the iPod from the head-unit, but I would like to be able just to plug it in and stick it on random-play.

The car has professional Nav, and a CD changer, for info............cheers :)
 
My 07Si has it, but there are quite a few differences in Euro spec and US spec cars.
 
As said before most 07's have them as standard, but my poor old 56 didn't.
It's a reasonably easy retro fit anyway - must be 'cos I've done it.
SK93's put together a great 'how-to' and you can always buy the part from BMW (£50'ish?) instead of creating the cable from scratch.

p.s. The Aux-In isn't really visable from the seat, you'll have to scrunch down a bit and look at the small panel above the ash tray.
 
So if I have a '57 3.0si, then I have an aux in? Must check this later.

EDIT: Just checked and I do! Can't believe I've had the car for 14 months and never seen that! I'd better reclaim the iPod Touch from the missus. :evil:

:rofl: anything else you haven't found that you'd like us to point out :lol: told you is wasn't obvious from the drivers seat.

Guiseley: Thanks for the tip about the location of it mate, and I`ll have a look when I get the car. It just shows that you can easily miss it if you don`t know that it`s there.

Fingers crossed that mine has it.............thanks again ! :D
 
here's an interesting topic. I am also expecting a 07' SI coupe and thought it did not have aux in. As it is a 57 plate maybe I'll be lucky :thumbsup:

Oh no...........! Mine was registered in March `07, so may not have it then ??

Oh well, never mind; there`s worse things happen at sea, and I`ll let you know tomorrow night if it DOES have it....... :trampoline:
