aux fan air cond sensor relay location

I noticed a loose relay today that I likely disturbed while recently replacing my coolant expansion tank.

Can anyone confirm where it should go, I think I see a mounting location on the plastic fan shroud close to the upper radiator hose.

You are correct. That should locate on the fan housing, under the upper fan/radiator cover (held on by push-pin fasteners and two T30 Torx screws). Best guess is that a previous mechanic worked in the area, reinstalled the plastic cover without reattaching the relay, and decided it was too much work to take it apart to make it right. :roll:

Here's a photo of mine, with 16 years of grime, before I changed out my radiator, expansion tank, etc.

Thank you for the picture, I will install it similar to yours when I remove the cover
