Autumn Upgrades

Hi all, I've just had my ABS pump repaired by ECU Testing, it failed a couple of months ago and the main dealer quoted me an eye watering 2700 quid to replace it.
Cost me 240 pounds to get it repaired by these chaps, they kept me informed by text every step of the way from receiving the box in the post to when they posted it back out. Really impressive service.

No connection to them other than a satisfied customer, but given the potential saving, I thought I'd post up a recommendation on here.

While I was at it, I had Vibratech engine mounts fitted, if anyone is thinking about these, just do it, makes a really noticeable difference to the gear change, the initial turn in is better and the driveline shunt is much decreased. Really great bang for the buck.

Wheeler dealers done this with a Corrado ABS unit on this weeks episode. Impressive stuff. They said it would've cost £1800 for a new unit from VW, so well worth getting it repaired.

No my wee local garage did it for me, had the pump out in about 30 mins in time for me to catch the post at Ballachullish post office :)

Cost about 100 pounds in labour and they kept the car securely for me till I got the pump back.

nice!!! middle finger to bmw too !!

Quite. I asked if they'd be prepared to put anything towards the replacement (29k miles, full MDSH) and they refused, so, as they say where I come from, they can get it right up them :D
Interestingly, the receptionist at BMW Inverness service dept. asked for details of the repair place as they had another customer with the same problem!

Good result there and if I was in ANY doubt of your location the phrase 'get it right up them' confirmed where you are  as its a favourite of mines also
