is this the best place to buy and sell??
thinking of haveing to sell the Z4 to make up a house deposit and have a run around untill i can get another one in a years time.

thoughts??
 
I think it depends on what car you are selling, problem i have had with Autotrader over the years is the amount of calls i got offering to advertise elsewhere/higher price/new double glazing! etc. I found my Z4 through pistonheads, just a thought!
 
try free sites as well, I sold once on Freeads! didn't cost me anything and was very easy.

others are gumtree or you can always try ebay.
 
pistonheads and ebay. PH is free, and the last two cars I've sold have actually been through ebay adverts. (people contacted me to ask to view the car before the end of the auction).
 
If I were looking to buy I would only ever look on autotrader as its the best and easiest website to use, so that would be where I would sell but that might just be me.

I sold mine via autotrader
6 weeks website only was about £35 ish
There are usually 1000 to 1100 Z4s FS at any one time
Mine was a nice 2004 3.0se with 39k miles
Advertised at £8895
in 6 weeks I got one call offering £8500
He bought it
As he sat in it to drive away, the airbag light came on :cry:
But i took £100 off and he was happy

Autotrader for me, I've sold quickly every time so long as you price it right against the competition, last two went on the first day, one being sold on the phone.
 
changing the subject slightly, does anubody struggle to with the connection on autotrader? i find i can get to the site but it crashes when i try any sort of search

Be worth you sticking and on here in the buy and sell section ? Smaller audience, but is free and covers one of the bases... Don't forget pics though, you know what we're like :P
 
I've got a few clients who are used car dealers... for their cheaper stuff, they are using eBay over Autotrader. Reckon they get more business. If the car's modified, Pistonheads is a good bet...
