Automatic Wipers Sensitivity

Hi,

New to the forum.

I have a 2007 E85 2.0i Sport.

It has automatic wipers however they seem extremely sensitive. They are on the lowest sensitivity but still come on and generally stay on even in light drizzle.

Is there any way to adjust this further than just the stalk settings.

I don't know of any other way to adjust them other than the switch on the stalk.

I've had 6 BMWs with Auto wipers and some have been better than others.

I do wonder if replacement windscreens, so replacement sensors, may be a factor as I had a Seat Leon with them. They worked fine, until I got a broken screen replaced.

I've lost count of the cars I have had with auto wipers. They have all been terrible.

Not quite as crap as 'main beam assist', though. These are only good at blinding oncoming traffic and annoying other road users.

Conversely mine work fine even after a screen replacement! I agree with the main beam thing though.
