Automatic to Manual Conversion

Has anyone done or know if you can convert a automatic to a Manual?
I have a 2003 Z4 automatic and would like to convert it to manual.

That would be a nightmare job aside the actual box swap it will be pedals, prop, perhaps axle ratio you'd have to sort the ECU and remap to get it to talk to the new box, etc.

That said I've never seen anything on such a swap.
 
I actually did that on a Honda I have that was built for racing. Unless you have a donor car do not bother. Like everyone else is saying sell the auto and buy a manual.
 
I'm pretty sure the shops that do step to manual swaps on the e46's charge around 6,000. You can search around the e46 forums and find a lot of info regarding trans swaps.
 
I thank all of you guys for your reply. I was just wondering if would be an easy process but i guess its not.
I found a site that has conversion kits but none for the Z4. Thanks Again
