Can someone clear this up for me?
I have orderd a new 20i m sport and no one seems to know if the head lights come on automaticly like they do on my 330d m sport when the light levels get low. it says the lights come on in rain but nothing about dusk!

As far as I know, auto lights and wipers are standard on the e89 now... for gods sake, they are on a Ford Fiesta these days...
 
Yes, my 2012 m-sport has auto lights. You just put the headlight switch in a certain position and forget about it.

Why cant your dealer confirm this? Ask him to confirm it...what does he do? I suspect he wont commit, just incase BMW decide to stop it....like they did with hill start assist - that was listed in the brochures and website as being standard....then it wasn't and BMW just washed their hands of it (Maniac - I'm still bitter about that also!!).
 
They are often switched on when driving in low bright sun.

You should also NOT rely on the system to switch lights on when you get a summer downpour!

These days, ha. I have an eight year old Clio 1.2, that has auto lights. :o

My point being BMW just a few years ago put this on only the top of the range cars, when other manufacturers had it on basic budget cars. On a BMW though it was a big deal. Pay more get less.
