Automatic Carwash?

Would you take the soft tops to one of these Automatic carwash places?
In the manual it says as long as the brush is not too hard, no real way of telling what is considered hard...it is just a brush haha.
What do you reckon?
 
Would never take any car through a car wash. They do more damage than its worth. Swirl marks and scratches all over the place, let alone a soft top. Always better to do it by hand.

Agreed, its just that i have a free one haha. oright hand wash it is then.
 
I wouldn't take ANY car through an automatic car wash, let alone the zed!

My other half bought a brand new car from Renault. Out courtesy they washed the car in an automatic car wash before she picked it up.

Brand new car - swirl marks EVERYWHERE. I said she should reject the car on the grounds of damage. She didn't listen though.

Only cars I ever put through were my old company cars.

Terrible devices of the devil designed in Summer to flail the car with dirt and crud off the previous car and in winter flail it wil ice...
 
My local car wash has a number of hands that come out automatically as I drive through. There is some mumbling that goes on but I can't understand a word of it, I wave a fiver out of the window at the end which gets collected and I drive off. No sign of whizzy flappy things at all.

Ah the old 2 bucket system where one contains grit and the other slugdy water. Wiped down with a synthetic chammy that's stored on the side of the bucket, but mostly the ground.

I'll take the mechanical car wash
