I so so please with the detail spray I decided to give the proper ceramic coating a try. I’ve used a few over the years and this was by far, the easiest to apply and polish so long as you follow the instructions.

Have the interior a gut going over too.

Looks lovely. I’ve used this ceramic spray on our Mercedes and it definitely gives a great finish with little effort. Will likely be a regular application though to maintain it.

I personally prefer to polish and wax …. I get that it’s kinda old school now, and how many are going to the ceramic coats . I’ve been tempted many times, but just can’t do it

I’ve tried both. The ceramic coating lasts a long time compared to wax. Feels like glass. But it’s each to there own.

think that’s the problem for me … I love to detail it weekly when the weather permits… the ceramic coating cuts the work out …. The bit I find very therapeutic I’ve seen the results from these coats , truly amazing… I’ve detailed cars with ceramic coating for people… and feel like I’m not finishing the job …. Just my OCD kicking in

I don't think its old school at all, I've still got a brand new tin of Fusso I haven't used yet and also a new tin of Bilt Hamber double speed wax I'm yet to use on my paintwork. I've been using fusso for a few years now and I'm nowhere close to half way through it. They work great for my daily, and often get complimented on the shine and condition, so if it ain't broke don't fix it. I do however, want to apply a ceramic coating to the alloys to offer an extra protection against the elements during the colder seasons, just don't know which one to go for at present.

I don't think its old school at all, I've still got a brand new tin of Fusso I haven't used yet and also a new tin of Bilt Hamber double speed wax I'm yet to use on my paintwork. I've been using fusso for a few years now and I'm nowhere close to half way through it. They work great for my daily, and often get complimented on the shine and condition, so if it ain't broke don't fix it. glad it’s not just me … can’t beat a few hours of giving the car some TLC . I’ve taken to waxing my wheels while I’m doing the rest of the car now. But like you. Would consider a ceramic wheel coat

Pushing 71 in a couple of weeks time, the polish and wax used to be great and very satisfying but ceramic every time now. Wash, dry and a C2 Gtechiq ceramic coat only takes 45 mins from start to finish and so easy.

Once I've used up all my current waxes, I may invest in ceramic coating technology for the paintwork, but it all depends on what's the best solution at that future time. But firstly, I need to use up all the 'top coat' waxes, and judging by my current usage, I guestimate a few good years yet. I think paint technology and detailing products will evolve into newer and newer formats. I think we'll still need cutting compounds and polishers, so the baseline will remain largely unchanged.

The same product but a different day as it takes ages to get a good even coat.

The trick with any coating is the preparation work.

Ive used Gyeon Q2 Rim before, came in a pack with gloves applicators as well as the fluid. Good instructions and was fantastic at protecting the alloys, just a simple shampoo down and they were like new.

I've been looking Q2 rim and also been looking at Gtechniq c5. I think they both look good and offer similar levels of protection and shine. At present I'm using turtle wax hybrid seal and shine, its spray on wipe off and buff, its dead cheap and should last about 3 months before a reapplication. It feels more like a quick detailer, but it has decent reviews. At present, my thinking is very short term, as long as it gets me through the cold months, it allows me time to research other ceramic offerings on the market, and put it on the summer to do list. I prefer to take the 'wheels off' approach, as it makes life so much easier.

Get the stuff you have to clean the car properly with IPA (Not the beer) first them wipe on with the applicator as it is much better and lasts longer. Then top up with the Autoglym spray.

I bought some Gtechniq kit for my pushbikes and it did two of those and the bonnet and roof of my 5 Series Touring, two coats on each!
The kit I bought came with the IPA, two cloths, the applicator pad and the ceramic stuff for £55.

Ive used C5 as well, in terms of ease of application and longevity/protection the Gyeon stuff was better. Appreciate it was a few years apart using each but there was a significant difference for me, and with both at a similar price point I would go with Gyeon.
