Autodoc Shopping List - what would you buy

Hi all,

The longer Autodocs Black Friday sale continues, the less I can ignore it....

There's a few preventative maintenance jobs I'd been considering, and while they might not be completed anytime soon, it seems wise to take advantage of the sale and start picking up parts now.

There's a myriad of parts available though, witha wide range of prices, so I'd welcome input from folks who have bought, and/or can recommend a particular part over another. Similarly, if there are additional parts for a job that you think are worth including, call them out. Specifically I'm looking at refreshing the mounts on the suspension, (so maybe that's a good time to look at drop links, arms etc...), but equally if there's other work that could be undertaken in line with the jobs I've planned, let me know your thoughts.

Jobs I'm considering:

- Clutch/DMF: the clutch itself seems fine, good bite etc., but there's a rattle noise coming when the pedal is out - I think it's possibly the release bearing. Unclear if the clutch has been replaced before, and I'm approaching 120,000 miles, so probably worth looking at the whole lot).

- Water Pump: recommendation seems to be that it's a matter of when, not if, this will go.

Bushes/mounts/suspension bits: previously fitted B12 kit and some meyle top mounts. Unsure if it's the norm (given the relatively low level of noise insulation and the drivers proximity to the rear of the car, but there's still a slight knocking coming from what I think is the suspension, so thinking a refresh of whatever needs refreshing down there is worth punt. Again, given the mileage, it's likely that something is due in this space anyway.

- Vanos:

- Anything else you can suggest?

Replies in the form of URLs for the parts in question would be much appreciated.

Hi all,

Last time I ordered from Autodoc (March) the delivery was fairly log. I had to wait best part of 3 weeks. The reason was supposedly Brexit.

I hope things are better now.

I've put in 3 fairly large orders over the past few months.
Took 2 weeks at most, very impressed.

Only thing to watch with Autodoc is that they like to swap out the parts you chose with their own brand "Stark".
They did it with my first order but I caught the switch and emailed them before it shipped asking for it not be done in future as well.

Do you know if your water pump is original? You're pushing it very far at 120,000 miles.
Just changed mine at just under 100,000 for peace of mind.
