AUTODOC alternative - suspension

So I’ve picked up another E85 Si, it’s on 82k and the shocks are original.

AUTODOC are offering 41% today, but this no longer applies to complete suspension kits or spring kits, such as the eibach kits. It does seemingly apply to individual shock absorbers and top mounts, but they don’t have lemforder in stock :headbang:

The price for 4 o.e. Sachs shocks is £278, which is decent, but it’s all getting to be a bit of a PITA

Anyone know of a decent alternative supplier at close to AUTODOC prices?

eBay will turn up almost anything, especially if you've got part numbers (which autodoc is an excellent source of.)

I'm always a little weary of ebay. And amazon too. Knock off parts/products on the rise.

Autodoc ends up being similar to ebay prices from my experience. Plus an autodoc invoice of parts looks nicer in the folder than an ebay invoice, IMO of course.

Lemforder fronts or rears? Both in stock in the app - although mine is for a pre-facelift. Not sure if that makes a difference?

Made use of the 41% today myself

I sat waiting for the 41% day as I had some pistons to order for an engine rebuild(!) Last couple of weeks they've had 43% days following on the heels of the 41% days too.

You can also get another 2% off with the GAINSEN2 code.

While eBay is a hotbed of dodgy parts, they tend to be the simpler things, so sparkplugs and wiper blades and the like. They're also usually the ones with adverts in Chinglish. The suppliers proper usually look more polished IME.

Thanks for the input, it’s just a bit frustrating that AUTODOC stock levels are variable at times and that they are now being very ‘choosy’ about what the discounts apply to :roll:

Not a fan of eBay for car parts for the reasons previously stated.

I use these guys as well as Autodoc…carry more ‘pure’ BMW bits too..

You have to compare prices inc postage obviously…

Not sure what their support for E85s is like..
