auto volume

i have recently fitted a jl clean sweep and after market amp to the standard head unit, although the sound is vastly improved, the volume goes up an down according to the speed of the car, and is much more pronounced now, is there any way of turning this function off, or disconecting it ??
any help would be much appreciated, its driving me nuts!!

In settings,sound if I remember right. You can turn it off I think.

My e86 had it in the bass/treble,balance etc scroll down its the last setting I think

i didn't get a manual with the car, but I have just won one on flebay. .the last setting i get is "line" something from memory, I'll have a look later once im finished work.....thanks guys
