Auto Light/ courtesy lighting

Hi BMW enthusiasts !

Does anyone know of a module you can put into the wiring loom of a 2006 Z4 roadster that , when the auto lights are left on, at night time, when you come back to the car and unlock it, it turns the rear and front lights on like on a modern E89 Z4, it's a cool feature and I wanted to know if it could be done,

Just about to fit a gap tech one touch hood system ...http://www.gap-tech.co.uk/rchp.html

I am new to this forum here's a spec of my baby

It was a BMW individual car in 2006, was over £40,000 new!
It's a rare 3.0si with 261 BHP, now runs at 270 BHP with 91,000 miles on the clock. On how many are left .com only 97 roadsters of the 3.0si are on the uk roads, largely because its frighteningly near the price of a Z4m ( over 1,000 on the road) when speced up to this level when new.

So safe to say its a rare beast!! My little z!

Rare - Ruby Black paint fleck with a full Bentley/Rolls- Royce Magnolia re-trim including magnolia wheel and alcantara gear knob and handbrake done just 2 months ago, (ukhide)

Full paint correction/wheels painted in paint fleck stealth bmw MV2s 18 inch / alpine audio system with reverse camera /eisenmann sports exhaust in race spec 4 tailpipes- sounds epic/ AFE air filter, re-map/ uber high end rolls Royce grade - retrim (ukhide)/ maintained to a ludacrus extent- wears 61% carnuba wax zymol vintage at all times. Pretty much a everything from zenons, suspension, interior parts, etc all replaced.

Indeed the intravee on its latest update does do it. But Will really need nav though to control/ set it.

I'm pretty sure the 3.0si roadster is not that rare... Prob more then 97 on this forum alone

Also... What remap have you got to give you 9bhp? Pretty sure when i checked a few years ago nothing existed for the N52.

Cheers for responses guys but how do I post up pics from an iPad ?

Also where can I buy this intravee auto light thingy I've googled it but no joy?!??

Also for the chap who said about it not being rare, you may well be right but if u go onto how many are left .com that actually shows the real amount that are registered on uk roads and is usually pretty accurate, of course there are many 3.0si coupes auto and manual out there, but the roadster is rare.... I've hardly ever seen them on the road!!

Cheers z4 owners I salute you and thanks for the speedy question response - these forums are great things!!

The main function of the intravee is for ipod intergration, the extra functions are a bonus.

97 3.0si cant be right though. I had a 2.5si and saw even less of those. Looking at that site there were none registered in 06 or 07 but were between 09-12 when they weren't even sold. Pinch of salt springs to mind.

So how does this intravee unit control the lights and how would you integrate it, bearing in mind, I don't use any of the original bmw sat nav kit as its all been replaced with alpine stuff,

Cheers guys !

Rick
