Auto levelling headlights on a lowered car

Found this on another Forum which shows the correct procedure for the z4 headlight adjustment which may be handy for a few others too.

Just remember to flip the diagram, as that's for LHD cars

Just checked after messing with the levelling screws and I have a snapped front levelling arm now I'll have to replace the arm and get the headlights readjusted as I'm sure they will be mega out now

I fived mine with some screws and a piece of metal. Only took a few minutes. And will save you loads!!

I have found an aftermarket one overwise which is £20 cheaper if not.

I don't know why they thought making it out of plastic was agood idea!

Guess they didn't design in and plan on you messing with and breaking it

Frankly most get broken when folks overstretch them trying to slot springs in so wouldn't make any difference what they were made of when people are leaning on the lower wishbones...

I still blame it on the poor design

If BMW designed the suspension as well as Bilstein/eibach did I wouldn't have to change them in the first place
