Auto Gear Stick

Does anyone one if it possible to shorten the auto gear stick. bit too big really, looking to shorten it and add new lever if poss :? HELP!

Looks fine to me very stylish would imagine you can change them unlike my last car had the sport button on the Auto Gear Stick so no way of changing it

I just don't think it needs to be so big! i was thinking about the same size as the manual?

I can't see how it can be shortened as it has a the press button to select reverse, etc. which has a long lever that fits the inside of the shaft. Poor explanation I know but unlike a manual selector knob it has functionality Vs just threaded onto a shaft.

A modified aftermarket (that I have never seen, nor looked for) could be the only solution.

If you find a good one let me know.

Yer understand about the button. but, my dads got 08 XKR Jag (auto) no button for shiffting to reverse looks much neatertoo

That may be so on the Jaguar, that I know nothing about, but the Z4 has a reverse lock operated by the press button. You therefore have to have some way of operating that lock.
