Auto gear selector knob.

E89 (2010).Plain knob with selector positions on the base panel.
Wondered has anyone upgraded their auto gear selector knob for the illuminated one.Seen a few on Ebay but not sure how difficult the job might be.

no takers?...think will stick with what I've got.The novelty of a lit up knob would soon wear off I guess.

I had a very similar itch to swap them out... However after some looking, there is no way I found to easily swap and to get the updated function. It would end up being the same movement as the current knob just with it looking different. Also the (P) on the new knob would be redundant. If your ok with that, then the actual process of swapping is relatively simple-ish.
Decided to look at other avenues to get a better look, wrapping with vinyl and or different material.
