Auto folding mirrors retrofit

This is my next little project... Has anyone done it before? I was looking through my brochure when I got the car it was only a £90 add on when the car is specced

IIRC it has been done, but it's expensive.

Not really worth it as it only takes an inch or so off the width

Bit more than £90 as it includes the chromatic mirrors as well. I have had them on all my BMWs, like it.

I'm glad I have them when squeezing it into the garage! Sir Wacko - did you get your mirror sorted?

Nice project if you can get the bits:

pair of new mirrors
new door switch
control module
Harness

If you can get them scrap great, else an eye watering price for new :thumbsdown:

I'll get to work on them... I've not bought the broken mirror glass replacement yet. Steelers won't even gimmie one half price!

I'm gonna try source the parts! ;-)
