These are now available at Halfords and on special offer at the mo have been using mine for a couple of years and its the best towel I have ever used so quick to dry the car nice and plush.

They do lint a bit but once washed a couple of times they are fine.

I’ll second that, bought one a month ago in Halfords for about a tenner, superb for drying, I’d always used Meguiars water magnets but these are far better !

Thanks for the heads up

These are currently £9.99 from eurocarparts. If you use the promo code 'weekend37' the price lowers to just £6.29 8)

That code is the maximum discount I could find and is better than their current 'egg80' code

I've ordered 2. Interested to find out how much better these will be than my usual drying aid, which consists of Costco microfibre cloths. Hopefully this towel will cut the drying time in half!

It's still working for me. Very strange.

If you use the egg80 code, it's only 40p more anyway at £6.69

£6.29 that's a great price I picked another up today from Halfords as I had a gift card to use from Xmas.

When using this towel I always use a QD as a drying aid as I found that these plush towels will grab if you don't just spritz the panels before wiping with the towel and it glides so much easier and saves on the QD stage once dry.

How come Halfrauds has gone upmarket and stocking such brands? Is it cos “detailing” has become cool? (Detailing meaning posh wash to most people). Come payday i’ll Be getting another of these, bought my current one from Cleanyourcar.

Drying aid....how do you do it? I recently started doing the hose/sheet water off then using one of these towels it dries well. How do you use a drying aid? I use c2v3 which apparently can do this...do you just spray it whilst still wet and then use the towel as usual.

.

Sheet the water off as normal then while the car is still wet spray the area you are going to dry with a QD I use Megs LT bought from Clean your Car so for example I spray the bonnet with QD then wipe over with drying towel

The Auto Finesse towels are good but no better than the Korean 1220gsm microfibre towels from Amazon at £6.25 ech with free delivery:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fluffy-SUPERSAURUS-Detailing-Valeting-Microfibre/dp/7392460773/ref=sr_1_14?keywords=korean+microfibre&qid=1556807374&s=gateway&sr=8-14

Been using both these and Autofinesse for years. Nothing to choose between them apart from price!

For general detailing and wax removal the Korean edgeless 600gsm microfibres are unbelievably good at £3.95 ech.

I learned all this after spending probably over £100 on a variety of both cheap and expensive microfibres that were ultimately condemned to the scrap rag pile after trying these!

I agree with ph001, I use the Korean edgeless/labelless 600gsm towels and they're great.

Slightly off topic, but still microfibre/halfrauds related!

Found Halfrauds do a pack of 10 microfibre cloths for £5, so 50p each. Probably not the best quality, but worth getting some as "sacrificial" towels (i.e. to use with fallout remover/tar etc etc?). Would this be a good buy?
