auto dim side rearview-mirrors?

Anyone who have them?
How do they work and do they differ from standard ones (so you can spot them just by looking)

I have them and it is almost as if they have a thin filament that gets activated at night. If you look really close at them they have a double image. At night they become tinted and really work well in filtering headlights behind you.

The perimeter of the mirror glass consists of a ~5mm black band on the electrochromatic external mirrors.

You know....Carmax didn't tell me I have auto dimming mirrors....and they rock! Or I don't have them and i'm just too low that no vehicle blinds me....but I doubt it cause even the bright ones don't bother me and I'm very light sensitive thanks to eye surgury (P.R.K.)

If there is a slight greenish tint from lights behind you, at night, then you have the auto-dim.

I prefer dark over blinding headlights anytime.
