Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my auto convertible top
When I want to open the convertible top by pressing the open button in my console, the red light wont go out, instead, the orange light goes up.
What's wrong with that?
The convertible top wont move at all

Please help me, I'm kinda newb on mechanical

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Go in the trunk look for two turnie knobs right under the hinge for the trunk lid,one on each side, and move them so the shelf is all the way down. Problem solved!

If you can't find them read the manual.

yup, 2 zero is correct... we've had this before, nothing to worry about (I hope!)

No....Not that... that's just too much to ask!

Everyone knows the the only thing the manual is for,Is so you can ask....Where can I keep my manual?

well, nice try but the problem isnt solved yet.

i have a problem in OPENING the convertible top, not closing.
i know about the closing thing because it says on the manual book

my problem is, my auto convertible top wont open when i press the button.
the red light wont go out, orange light goes up instead

any idea why?

Sorry, I'm a little confused here, this issue is with opening isn't it i.e. the car decided there is not enough room to stow the opened roof, so it flashes the orange light? I wonder if the switch that senses the position of those knobs could be faulty?

no, my trunk is empty
it won't open
thanks for trying to help me, i already set an appointment with my dealership to get it diagnosed

it's not the trunk.. it's the shelf at the top of the trunk which moves up and down to allow you to store higher objects as long as you leave the roof up !

if you rotate the two clasps as mentioned above, this will lower the shelf and you're roof will come down.. that's the message the orange light is trying to give you... there's diagrams in the manual if it's not obvious when you look in the boot =)

Or the switch in the centre of the boot thinks the shelf is up. That can happen if you have had some big items in the boot and dislodge the switch position.

gajah, if you don't mind, please let us know what the dealership says the problem was so we can add it to our list of remedy's

wah i threw away the paperwork
all he said is there's a little malfunction of the computer
i dont know why
thanks god everything's fine now
