Help required please as I've just removed my gearbox position selector switch to clean the contacts, all went well as everything looked good, the tracks and wipers freshened up nicely, there's lots of posts on you tube on this. My issue is when fitted back on the car, it goes from park, reverse. neutral and then goes into S2 instead of drive. When the switch was taken off, I had the car in the park position and hadn't been moved until I reassembled it again. This switch has a spline with a flat on it so you would think it can only go on one way or am I missing something. Any view points would be appreciated.
