Word of warning, I ordered a spare parts from that ebay seller a couple of months ago and it never arrived.

Had several different excuses blaming staff, they'd sent it to the wrong address then to top it off they tried to say that I'd changed my delivery address, which I did not. It became comical so after a month of waiting I opened a case and got a refund.

They refunded me then they opened an eBay case saying it's been refunded but they have sent it so asked me to pay again or send it back when it arrives. It never arrived, so I advised them of this and suggested they check their parcel tracking as they said they sent it tracked. Haven't heard anything since, but was one of the worst transactions I've had with eBay after being a regular member for about 13 years.

Just out of interest and there's a few pics Sam, Sourcesounds in Sheffield did an E85 with 6x9's in the rear and a 10inch sub in the boot, might be worth having a look.

Thanks, will check it out.

Dynamatted passenger door - took me about 30mins..

Have run out of dynamat - so need to get more..sure I had 10 odd sheets...they have finihed quick!

Still need to do the other door car and inside + some in the boot..

Cross over location - think its okay..will post a pic up tomorrow when in front of a PC.

Need to extend the wires and connect up to the crossover, then panel back on...one for lunch time tomorrow ;-)

Yeah, 20 sheets is more than enough - could do two layers in each door, the footwell speakers and a layer on the boot floor & bulkhead

Strangely enough, your original link now points to a 40-sheet volume pack so it looks like they've updated their eBay item

Although the seller still has a 30-pack available here at £39.99 but the sheets are half the size of those in the 20-pack

Spoke to Sound EVO - they can book me for next Thursday @ 3pm for the amp & JL install...but asked for a deposit (that i found odd)

This i did not want to leave, in case i have an work emergency come up -

they are only installing the kit i supply..so waiting on a call back to see if they can still install it..

I still need to get the door panel on and do the driver side door - Dynamat i got delivered to the office and is still not here yet (says 2:30) and i have to leave to go get my tracking done :headbang:

I don't think a deposit is unreasonable as it proves you're serious - they're booking time for one of their installers this may mean that they have to turn down/postpone someone else and, if you don't turn up, they'd have someone twiddling their thumbs...

If you'd purchased the kit from them, I doubt if they'd want a deposit as you've already shown that you're a 'proper' customer

Naa..all sorted...never been asked for a deposit before before any works being carried out...I would have if they had to order bit for me..

Did not want to leave a deposit..as if an emergency came up at work, or my car blew up..I would have lost it...

Problem...the BMW tweeter is tiny compared to the morel tweeter...looks like I will have to dremal the hole out to make it bigger..

That's the issue with replacement tweeters, you could always try removing the wires from the OEM tweeter first and connecting it to the crossover - chances are, given that it's a 'vert and there's so much background noise, it'll sound fine.

This. It got a little silly when jobs were booked in and people didn't turn up.

As for the tweeter I ended up with a little ca glue and then proceeded to seal it with flashband (it's flashing tape that's a little more malleable than decent sound deadening)

Did the driver side door...

Did it quick,

10 mins to take off,
1.5 hours to dynamat the panel and speaker / crossover and wires done..

30mins to dynamat the inner door

Panel just needs to go back on..

Still thinking how to do the tweeters..

- looks like it had been opened before as the inner cover thing was not stuck down at all...need to get some of the black sticky stuff..what is it called? Or will I be okay without?
