Audi TT

The TT is hideous IMHO but I test drove one for a friend who's out-of-state and lemme tell you that I was VERY impressed with the TT and how quick it was and how it felt solid in the snow.

I don't care for the exterior design at all though. The interior was ok, but nothing to write home about.

Hmm... the old TT looked like a moving bubble, especially the roadster. There seem to be rather a lot of old TTs around the area where I live so it just seemed like a 'normal' car whereas the Zed was a rarer sight. I do however like the new TT model, the cutting's a lot smoother and the whole style seems a bit more sophisticated, I did sit inside one at the Audi showroom and the driving position seems good and the gadgets seem decent and sturdy. Although I didn't test drive it, it seemed a much better car than the previous TT.

But despite all that, nothing compares to my Zed, although only 2.2l (enough for little me), it makes driving fun again! :driving:

I've never been a fan of the TT coupe or convertible. In any event, TT in the Philippine language (tagalog) is slang for penis. What's even funnier, I saw a TT with vanity plates "10 IN TT"...hahaha!
Pardon my accent but... Mala-it ang TT mo.

 In french, if you pronounce TT fast it sounds exactly like "têté" which is french for sucking, which I guess is par for that car. :D

 And Audi could sound like "Maudit"! They could make a Tete-a-Claque on the "Maudit tete"!

Back to the subject...The only reason to buy an Audi is for the Quattro system...period! Up here in the great white north, you put on some good winter tires on an Audi and you've got the best winter vehicle IMHO. I'm not big on the TT, but the S5 & S7 look good!

i actually prefer the older TT. 6spd 225hp tt... simple chip and exhaust and it'll hand most z4 owners. do a k04 swap and its probably on par with the m-coupe.

i thought the car's design was ahead of its time, very original. but in the end, it's still a beetle =P

The firs time I saw a TT coupe was in Italy in 1998 - it went past and I was like WTF was that.

I was stunned, transfixed, and wanted one. 5 years later I got one, albeit a roadster.

The first time I saw the Z4 in the flesh I thought it was rubbish and withdrew my deposit. 2 years later I got one, and 4 years later, got my 2nd.

Opinions definitely change on cars, and I do agree it looks a tad dated now, but its a design classic for me in coupe format.

as thecorf1 says, its probably a base model. That was a failing of mine - I bought a base 150bhp and it looked rubbish, but I stuck the RS4 wheels on, lowered it and put a milltek on and loved it. Wheels definitely make or break a car.

As new - blandish
