Audi TT - thinking the same color

Hi, i have noticed that a lot of the new TTs have some sort of smoked / charcoal matt wheels...

I've never really been a fan of "black on black"... but i think this dark grey matt finish looks well on black cars, so i think i might take the plunge and go for it...

01 - does anyone know exactly what colour i would have to ask

02 - has anyone on the forum have these colour wheels on a black car

03 - roughly, how much should it cost to get my wheels below in this colour

04 - what's your opinion on this colour scheme, do you think it would suit my car below

Those wheels are the black edition ones. I got the wheels on my A3 powder coated to match. I asked for anthracite and had the option of sparkle or normal, I went for normal which was almost an exact match. It only cost me £150 to have it done and it only took a few hours. Dropped the car off on the way to work and picked it up on the way home.

There is a black 3 series along the road from my office that has MV3s in this colour. They were on all the e90 MSport Plus models. It looks really good on them so should suit your car well.

Cool, thanks a million... what kind of garage would do this service
Probably best going to a wheel refurb specialist... Don't know of any in Ireland though!! Sure that there will be some..

I had a slightly different variation, Dark grey/Anthracite wheels on a metallic slate grey company Accord. The dealer thought I was mad when I ordered the combo, then put the same wheels on his demonstrator when mine arrived!

Go for it, they look great!

I have dark grey inners on my 108s, which I wasnt sure I would like. However, I love 'em now. Looks great.

The Audi looks great with dark grey on black too.

Thanks guys, still thinking about it... not sure what to do... would love to see another car with it done first...especially the MV2s

I had pewter / anthracite wheels on my Dark Grey/Black MINI Cooper S for about 2 months before I wrote it off. Looked great.

Now I have a Grey Zed, I am feeling the need to get wheels coloured too but its prob down the list behind bike rack and winter wheels/tyres.

That's a very neat and very helpful photoshopitup ...

To my eye, those beautiful original M double-spoke style 135 wheels now look like they are covered in brake dust ... and need a clean. That's what I would think if I saw that image.

Similar to mine. I've never been a fan of glossy black wheels or even pure matt black wheels on a black car, but the anthracite is awesome imo.

I like the idea but not sure about It on MV2's. I think there are to many spokes so close together.

Just my opinion though.

I like the idea, but looks like my wheels when dirty! Tempted to colour my winter wheels that colour though... Saves cleaning them!
