450BHP 4.2 V8, DSG only. Pricing wise, very similar to an M3 with DCT (couple of thousand more actually).

This vs the M3 will make an interesting battle.
 
Don't forget the all wheel drive system! Also Audi can take off the top speed limiter on their cars. It's an option on order (and with the TTRS)! :wink:
 
As an ex M3 and Audi quattro owner I'd have to say I'd bet on the Audi to win. That Quattro is really fun to have in the twisty's.

All sounding so nice until I read that. DSG only? Noooooooooooooooooo. I like a manual, driven a DSG and didn't find it that enjoyable. Give me a proper manual gearchange like the Z4 and I'd seriously look at one of those in about 5-6 years once they've depreciated into my price range :D

I too really like the looks of it. One can only speculate on how it will drive though. The S5 gets reasonably positive reviews although most agree that it has a lot of unfulfilled potential. One figure from the Audi blurp did caught my eye though. 1725! That's how many kgs the RS5 weighs! By comparison the heavier of the coupe M3's, the one with the DCT box weighs in at 1675kg...

The Audi definitely has its work cut out for it.

Saw an Audi A5 Coupe S line in white at one of the health clubs I work at. He had the wheels coated white but left the spoke centres silver. Looks very nice!! Think that RS5 will look great in the metal! :thumbsup:
