they do look better in the skin for sure. Except this absolute shed owned by man city's steven ireland. i saw this a few weeks ago in manchester. In the flesh it looks even worse.
I was then unfortunate enough to see his girlfriends car the other day whilst travelling home from work, words cannot explain how shi* this looks.
if there was ever, an example of 'money doesnt but taste', the above i think covers it !

I drove one of these on a track day about a month ago and I have to say it was fantastic. Sure you may not see much improved acceleration 0-60 when compared with the ///M, but 80-120+ is pretty much mind blowing. It's a very comfortable car given it's performance capabilty. The 4 wheel drive system is great, giving shed loads of grip and a strong bias to the rear wheels.
I have to say though, if I had 60k to spend on a second hand supercar, I would be very tempted by the Gallardo. Gotta love that v10!!! :evil:
I know a guy called Neil that took the 'R8 8LUD' R8 out for a test drive the other week as he was thinking of buying it. Gave some rave reviews of it on the fiat coupe (his other car) forum.

Making an R8 look like a glacier mint or something is quite amusing and certainly not boring! (Not that i would do that to it though )
I think remembering its a bit of fun is always best in these circumstances. Celebritys/footballers need to behave in ridiclulous ways. Difficult for us brits sometimes as we naturally hate anything to showy. But, being garish has paid of very well for a lot of celebs lately.
So anyway, i would rather have a Gallardo. But thats just imaginary for me as i dont have a pile of money ready by the fire to keep me warm through the winter.

i dont dislike showy things, i love lambo's over anything else, however if something is showy and absolute shi* thats a different matter. Both the chavved R8 & Bentley are hideous beyong belief, if you saw it in the flesh you would realise what im talking about...
she ruined that car within 2 days apparently, curbed it heavily and scratched it on something.
i agree, both cars are hideous, no accounting for taste but each to their own.

I think if they follow chav to this extent, it should be regarded as a form of art. Not everyone has the sense (or is it lack of it
