Very nice indeed, I'd have one of these over a 997 any day IMO it makes the 997 look and feel dated. Need to start saving!!

I still think that it looks like they glued the front half of one car onto back half of another. From a pure styling perspective, I can't say that I am all that crazy about it

I can't figure out the deal with the seperate coloured panel behind the door. Other than that I like it.

Looks nice from the front/rear and 3/4 .. but the side profile is just wrong.

Dying to get a go out in one though!!!

Agreed the side panel is wrong especially if in a contrasting colour. If its the same as the body colour it looks OK. Initially it felt a bit strange being so far forward with so much bulk behind you. You really do notice it.

Once on the move it sounds fantastic, you can't resist dropping the window to get the full effect. Power comes in smoothly and has a more refined delivery than my MC which is a bit more manic.

I was also surprised how soft the suspension is, until you push the sports setting button which firms things up a bit. The dash is a very nice piece of work. Every detail looks expensively engineered. The only thing I didn't really like was the open alloy 'Fezza' esq gear selector, which has a metalic clacking noise on each gearchange. I'd get tired of thet very quickly, I understand they were going for the Ferrari engine on display look etc but the gate is too much.

All in all feels very well put together and gets more attention than anything else I've driven, my coupe felt very normal after the R8, however on my way home I had some DSC off fun in the coupe that I wouldn't have even attempted in an R8  :driving:

Front and rear look great, but I agree about the side profile, it just doesn't look resolved at all, looks awful :erm:

Plus the same manual seats and steering wheel as a £24k TT - Audi not trying hard enough IMHO, although that hasn't stopped them selling like hotcakes in the UK.

Those who know what they're on about truly rate the R8.

I'd have one like a shot!

Saw one of these on the road this morning, first one. It was coming head on with the LED lights on, looked really low too - pretty cool. Might go and have a look at one in the flesh this weekend if there are any showroom cars around.

Nice house and lawn never mind the car.

I saw one in a showroom, nice but agree with the side panel, overkill not eye candy, must drive like hell though.

+1 exactly
The other thing I don't like about most Audi is the big front overhang.
The front wheels look like they're pushed too tight to the A pillar
