AUC Warranty

Nearside bonnet lock failed on Sunday and despite spraying with WD40 and 3in1, the mechanism was solid. Spoke to local stealer on Monday and booked it in to have it looked at (2-hour arrive and wait) this morning.

When I arrived the chap at Dick Lovett said it'll be covered by the warranty if replaced or not if just needed lube.

The mechanism was locked solid, so they replaced the part and then told me it isn't actually covered by the warranty as BMW class this part as bodywork, which is excluded (?) and not mechanical. How this is not mechanical I have no idea??

Spoke to customer services and told them same shite so will be taking this further. WTF!

It's not the money, it's the principle of it and paying a premium for the car to benefit from the warranty! :x :x

On the flip side, I tried to eat myself to death on Marshfield Bakery shortcake and the 'ladies' on reception are fine.....!!!

this just goes to show, all insurance policies are a scam

you pay out your hard earned cash for what you think is a fully inclusive warranty, only to find anything they can exclude, they will

Thats terrible.. i paid out for the full extended warranty... i'd be pissed if that happened to me and they refused to cover it.
