AUC Warranty Void If M Steering Wheel Fitted?

Hi,

After having gotten used to a sports wheel in the courtesy 1 Series that BMW WIlliams kindly lent to me, I am considering changing the standard (non MF) wheel in my Z4 2.5i Roadster.

If I change the wheel, will it void the Approved Used Car warranty I currently have? What are the rules by which I have to fit the wheel to ensure that the warranty is still valid? Should I change the wheel for an M wheel (with tri-colour stitching) will this also void the warranty (as I believe it was only designed for M cars)?

Many thanks in advance for your help!

Even the M wheel with the tri-colour stitching, Playa?

Are there any rules about who fits them - does it have to be fitted by a dealer? I also don't have multi-function buttons on my wheel at the moment so will be retro fitting those as well (if that complicates things).

As worst surely it can be contested that only systems directly linked to the wheel should be excluded from the warantee - i.e. if your gearbox went pop they can hardly blame that on the different steering wheel :)

Best check with the supplying dealer to get their approval perhaps?
