AUC warranty valid?

I raised a query with the main dealer when buying our Z4MC recently about the service history. It had the 1200 mile and an oil change at 12k both at another main dealer. The oil service was carried out in early 2009. On buying the car I was told that the car did not need servicing for another 14k as displayed by the OBC. There was no stamp in the service history and I requested that the stamp be put in the service booklet for future warranty issues.
The dealer stamped the booklet and statedthat they performed an oil service. I pointed out this should have been an inspection 1 and asked them to rectify the mistake. The car went back in for some work and I ask that they amend the logbook. Now the dealer is telling me that the car wasn't serviced as it didn't need to be and that they shouldn't have stamped the book.
How then is there 14k to the next service if the car is currently just over 25k without some form of servicing being performed?
I suspect that they have reset the indicator and not serviced the car appropriately. Is there any way of finding out? If that is the case, I will not be picking up the car until the appropriate work has been conducted. Effing bloody dealers. This is just the latest in a series of irritating snags which, combined with absolutely piss poor customer service , has really dampened the whole new car purchase.
What else would you do? :x

I'd be looking for a stamp for an Inspection 1 and proof that they did it. Did you see the OBC before you picked it up and they apparently serviced it?

Bring it to there attention that if all is not correct with the service record they cannot sell it as AUC and your warranty WILL be invalid, I have checked this out with the warranty department as I had a similar problem.

Thanks. Those are my thoughts as well. We will see what happens when I go to pick up the car. A lack of warranty might make me reject the car.

I had a similar issue with a land rover AUC where a service had been done late ... Whilst the car was owned by LR. I got a letter from LR customer services stating that this would not impact the warranty in any way.. If it was me I would make sure in this case that I had reassurance from the warranty company( BMW uk ?) rather than just going on the dealers advice.
