Attaching pics

You can either link to an external hosting site like PhotoBucket or you can attach pics directly (quicker and easier):

Within your new post click on 'add files' (just below window)
Then select the picture you want to add from your computer
Then click 'place in line'
Then click 'Preview' to see if it worked
Then 'Submit'

I've started using the FREE image hosting site of one of the members, [ref]Buckz[/ref], as I got fed up of all the ads and "captchas" on Tinypic and Uploadbucket etc..

http://upload.vstanced.com/

Has worked well for me, and it's FREE!!!

I wish I could attach photos straight from my phone would make life a lot easier

Are you getting the "image/file too big" error?? I was, I now just change the size of the pic I am taking to upload in the camera settings from 12mp to 9mp and they upload to here as attachments perfectly, however I find that the forum software does "degrade" image quality (prob to save bandwidth) so I tend to used vstanced if I'm not in a mad hurry, works well from my phone.

Uploading them directly is handy but the boss had a fair time trying to work out a balance between quality and file size.

Depends on the content, but they really need to be hosted and linked to do them justice.

Have to agree. Nice feature for easiness, but quality is not so good.
