Attaching new 3.0i badge

I'm sticking a new badge on today. Has anyone else done this and is there anything I ought to know to avoid messing it up !?

Use making tape to ensure you get the right position and make sure you clean the surface with an effective cleanes (alcohol based wipes are good)

I see. So stick a piece of masking tape horizontally, and stand back to ensure its straight, sort of thing ?

I've had the car to the hand washers this morning and was going to give it a good polish...do you think that will be suitable cleaning before fitting the badge ?

Exactly - but no polish before you put the badge in place

Too late. I polished it. But it seemed to go on ok.
