My radio will NOT turn off or down!! My radio is currently stuck on full blast and none of the buttons do anything!! Even removing the key does nothing!!!

Don't have anything to do it with right now lol!! I've even tried resetting my parott!!

Why do you have your parrot in the car with you and is it qualified to help :?

Had a thought - check you've taken your iPod headphones out of your ears :!:

Seriously though, pulling the fuses is a top idea...

doing a quick google it does appear that many BMW models have this issue, some a result from an end of life battery

all short term solutions are to unplug the battery for 10 mins

Why is it a short term fix??

....because the battery will still be fooked until it's replaced....

Have you tried pulling the fuses?

How would the radio not tuning off and none of the buttons working have anything to do with the battery though?? Just trying to understand better.

Weak or fluctuating current in electrical systmes, particularly the computer 'brain' of your car, can cause erratic behaviour of any electrical system in your car. Thnink about that for a sec... I cannot find a succinct explanation on Google, and only have a half rememered drunken conversation with a mate who is a mechanical engineer to go on... However pulling the fuses on the offending item or disconnecting the battery will re-set things. if the battery is bad (or the alternator) then you should replace it soon I reckon.

Hope your ears aren't bleeding yet :D

My battery has a window with a colour system to indicate if it's fooked, not sure if it's the original but yours may be the same? There is a sticker on the top explaining but I think it says:
Green = fine
Yellow = needs charging but is ok
Black = Fooked
