and possibly rude, but i'm curious as to who the youngest member is on here, for fear of being it myself. i'm already the youngest person in my unit which they proudly declared to the world when i arrived :headbang: :headbang: just curious...

it amazes me how young some are, insurance must be sky high

so shadowdrgn0, how young are you?

19 myself. you're right insurance for me will be higher than most would put up with i think, but i've saved enough to buy the car outright, and go ahead and pay off a years worth of insurance so i dont have to worry

Life is for living - good on you for saving up and getting the car you wanted.
I did the same sort of thing. At 19 I saved up and got myself a Triumph Spitfire. Fantastic to have a sports car at that age. Just be careful and don't become a young driver statistic.

haha, yes for sure i will be following that advice, had a close call on a motorcycle (to close) decided it was time for something with airbags, this seemed like a good compromise!

I thought I was one of the youngest at 21.

Chap on here with a Z4MC at 23 I think I've seen.

I bought my first hot hatch at 19, not a full blown sports car though.

Well done you :)

At 19 I was at university in St Andrews, and therefore a) had no need of a car, and b) was waaaaaaaay to drunk / hungover to be trusted with one almost all of the time... Then I moved to London, and whilst I was marginally less drunk as I had to work, I was skint and had no need of a car in a place where I could walk faster than most of the traffic. Think I had my first company car at about 24 when I had to start driving to work outside London. You are a lucky chap, well done !!

EDIT - should have said, I am 38 (until May...)

Far too busy for cars in my late teens, then 6 years living in central London knocked any ideas of having a decent car in my 20's

I don't think age is an issue, more so as if we didn't post our age's we would be non the wiser

Wife regularly tells me I act like a six year old. I'm actually very very old and a bit wrinkly.
