At last...

A couple of days after my last post I ended up back in hopsital for an emergency op as my gall bladder perforated again :(. Got out on the 20th and have been recouperating for the last week and a half.

But, the good news is that today I managed to give the Z a quick wash and take it out for spin. Man, did that feel good :)

Sounds like the best thing they can do with that dodgy 'exhaust' is get it whipped out; my Dad's just had his out after problems with it for over two years and he wished he'd had it done 18 months ago. :D

Well the plan was that after the initial perforation and sepis they would wait for things to settle down for a month or two before operating. It didn't pan out that way and it came out on the 15th July. After getting over the second round of infection and IV anitbiotics I felt so much better. Knowing I haven't got to worry about it going again it also a huge relief. The only downside was a bit of damage to the common bile duct so I've go another procedure to look forward to later this month.

I've been lucky and I know a lot of people go through worse for longer so I'm very thankful but that aside, it's been a crappy July so I'm glad things are getting back to normal :)
