At last - found the right car and bought it!!

So I've been looking now for quite some time for the right car, and finally found this one... It's a 54 plate 3.0 se with 59k on the clock. FSH etc blah blah. Came with a v good spec though, Nav, Xenons, Bluetooth, MFSW buttons, Electric folding mirrors, heated seats, cup holders... In fact, I think the only option it didn't have that I could see, was cruise... I bought the car yesterday for £7850. Quite high money, but it is in mint condition, and that was with full years MoT and Tax. Went to BMW on my way home and picked up a cruise control stalk... Thanks to the 'How to' on here, fitted that this morning so now it has everything!!! It drives lovely so I'm very happy... :driving:

Just hope the Misus likes it now - she's away with work so doesn't see it till tomorrow...

Great looking motor! So does your other half know you have bought it?! That'll be a shock indeed if not!!!
Pop and get a nice Stubby whilst your in the quick modding mood!

Nice car, similar to mine in spec, although mines black.
I don't think you paid too much for it.
The trouble with all us owners is, when buying, we want showroom condition, with full service history and no mileage, but don't want to give any money for it.
Then when we sell we all moan that its outrageous how we are only being offers low money for it. :D

Totally agree with the above. People rattle on about sub £6k 3.0SE cars but have you seen the state of some of them?! I'd much rather pay an extra grand or so for something in fantastic condition with a history file to back it up. Any 'saving' made by buying a bargain basement example could be wiped out in an instant the moment it needs repairs due to poor maintenance or careless ownership.

Thanks for all the good comments... I write to you from Le Mans where we have just arrived in the Z4... Good news is she absolutely loves the car :D She drove a little of the way too and really likes the way it drives... Mods wise, I'm quite a fan of OEM so whilst happy to tinker and stuff, I like the idea of it looking factory still. The cruise fitting was so easy, and I've got a near mint finish on the cowling, no one would ever known it wasn't factory... Price wise, I very much agree with the earlier comments. I looked at 6 cars including this. Only one other was worth buying but he wanted £9k which I felt was a little high for the spec (not as good as this car but lower mileage). I looked at 4 others from £6400 to £7600 and they were al dogs next to this car! This one does still feel new and has clearly been looked after. V v happy with it! :driving: Got he rest of the week to cruise round France in it now!
