Put deposit down yesterday on 07 Coupe auto, dead excited picking up next week, but just a couple of questions to you experienced Z ers.
The deposit form says colour is "Le mans blue" is that the same as montego blue ?
Also i will want to change the wheels (when the scarring has healed from the kidney removal to pay for the car) as it has 17 inch standard wheels on run flats.
so, my stupid question of the day  :D > if i change the wheels to 18 inch non run flats, what do i do about a spare wheel ? i assume there is no room on the car to store a spare ?

I have not heard Le Mans Blue was available for E85/86. But Le Mans Blue is not the same as Montego Blue for sure. You need a foam repair kit if you have non-runflat tyres fitted. Z4 has no space for storing a spare wheel.

I think you did not buy the car from BMW dealer.

Congratulations. Make sure you get some pictures up when you can.

Can't answer the colour question. Regarding non RFT fitting, you will need to carry an emergency tyre repair kit. Holts Tyreweld seems to be the product of choice here (I have one stashed next to the battery in the boot and hope I will never have to use it)

To give the full picture on the spare/tyre puncture situation:

1) You can go the spare route in which case you need a 17" spare to clear the front brake calipers. Something off an E46 330 would be good. Count on £60 ish from ebay. To change on the road you of course need a jack and wheelbrace

The wheel can be carried int he car in a storage bag in the boot but it encroaches on luggage space. (I carry mine sometimes on long journeys.

2) Alternatives are the BMW motability kit that combines a compressor and tyre gunge or as stated Halfords type gunge and a separate compressor.

Good luck with the car

Thanks for all your wise words.
The car is not from a BMW dealer but is from a company that deals with classic and heritage cars and has got an impecable pedigree for quality car sales.

I wasn't surprised that they got the description of the colour wrong.

another coupe guy, thats what i like to hear :D

the spare wheel option is not the best due loss of boot space, tyre weld would be my preference
