Assaulted at work (more biting)

So it's sunday night I'm mid set and s**t hits the fan.

I did notice a guy giving me daggers from across the room. At first I figured it was just a un happy punter, however I was soon informed it was my ex's current partner (I have had no direct communication with my ex for over 2 years).

Some time later he walked past the DJ box and called me over with a gesture to shake hands. I went in for the shake, he yanked me over got me a head lock over the dj box, sunk his finger nails into my hear and proceeded to try and bite my head. The incident is all on CCTV, including him been very pleased with himself after the incident.

The above resulted in a very sore bleeding ear and I'm not even sure about my head. I'm currently in A and E waiting 2.5 hours to be seen for "vital injections" and bloods taken :(.

I have spoke to my solicitor, informed the police and will be making a formal statement later today (Monday).

Seems biting is becoming a theme on here, it saddens me that people can do this. The guy who assaulted me is known to the police, I hope they bring him to justice.

Ps. I finished my set (smashed it) and put the young lad on ;).

Unbelievable! Since when did a punch in the face fall out of favour?

(Not that you deserved it by the sound of things)

For the record the attack was totally unprovoked. I have had no contact at all with guy who assaulted me.

Sorry to hear this mate, make sure he gets what he deserves....

Maybe he heard that awful song by Sophie Ellis Bexter, 'murder on the dance floor'

Sorry, lots of songs come to mind.

Ben is right, what's happened to traditional fighting?

Speedy recovery mate and hope not too much pain

Just got in now, 2 injections, blood taken and antibiotics.

Thanks for the support, I hope this will be end of it now and I will be left alone my this thug.

I will update after I have had proper talk with my solicitor and the police.

I've got a really busy day today too which is annoying. Last meeting at 9pm, I'm going to be running on empty.

It's ABH for sure, make sure they stick that to him, and not common assault....and if he's been in trouble before he should get banged up

Biting and scratching ... pretty soon blokes'll be hitting you with their handbags.

Hope you don't catch anything nasty from that.

Unbelievable... I think biting is a cowards way of thinking he can fight...

I hope the authorities bang him up and while he is banged up they can pull his teeth out..!!

Hope you.re ok matey ...

Sorry to hear this mate but you seem to have it under control. Glad you are taking legal action and I'm sure the guy was in drink before his thug like behaviour.
I mentioned on another post regarding making contact with the victims support scheme and the possibility of making a claim from the criminal injuries compensation board. You may not be bothered but if you are then maybe worth chasing up to see if it's available. You don't even need the person to go to court to claim.
Absolutely disgusting behaviour but that's some people when they drink and think they are Billy ten men

Popey, that sh*t is crazy.
Never understood the whole ex's new boyfriend insecure aggro thing. Maybe he's watched Goodfellas one too many times or something. Regardless, I hope it all get sorted and you're okay.

Disgusting behaviour, impossible to justify in any way, shape or form - I hope they throw the book at him
