Ashtray won't close

My ashtray won't close I push it down to close and when it go it open back up

You'll have a coin stuck there somewhere, can be a pig to remove

Not sure that is necessarily the cause though. On my first Z, I had this issue (never a coin in there), that the lock mechanism was weak. You very gently had to close it as otherwise it would open again.

Solution on that one was to slightly bend the lid so it would become a little tighter to close. Difficult to explain where though.

I had the same issue when I bought my car. Pound coin stuck behind the mechanism, took ages to get it out!

Mine is the same, and I've had the whole thing in many pieces, but to no avail
