Ashtray won’t close

Hi all,

Having trouble with my ashtray lid not closing.
I’ve removed the unit and under investigation, I’m wondering if there should be a pin or something on the mechanism cog (circled area on photo) to hold it in place once shut? Or is there something else which needs adjusting, maybe?

So, it's hard to see but the pin (circled) engages in the locking lever (arrow). Hope that helps.

I had the same problem. You can replace the pin with a nail of the right diameter, cutting it off to the right length, that’s what I did and it’s been fine for over two years now

@Steven40181001 - you may have to do this, as I've searched my boxes and can only find black units. Sorry to have wasted your time.

it wouldn't surprise me if you removed the whole unit, you'll find the pin on the carpet under it.

hi. yes it is available. i'm glad you asked as i wasn't sure if i was allowed to say it was as its not in the sales pages. i assume all your buttons work so you wouldn't be needing those?

I’m not sure of the rules either tbh - apologies to those in charge if we’ve got this wrong!
Yeah, all my buttons are working, so it’s just the ashtray side of things that I need, would be swapping my button panel into the replacement.

hi. yes apologies here too. yes, the buttons are technically a separate item but are commonly sold together as one.
