Some may have read a post I made sometime ago about putting a gauge pod where the Ash Tray lid should be. This wasn't my idea - it was something I found on thingiverse (a site for people to share 3D Printing designs) and wanted to give it a go. Anyways, I printed out the part, fit it in place, hot glued it in place so I could apply "self smoothing" resin which didn't quite work as intended... and here it is!
It's messy atm and caked in resin - ready for someone who wants to post-process it - sand it down and remove all the excess gunk (and maybe add some more resin to fix the pools either side), then spray and fit - whatever your heart desires!
The ash tray was given to me (I paid the postage) so I'm putting it here up for grabs - for free to anyone who wants it. Simply cover postage (£5) or happy to arrange a time/date to collect from Cambridge CB22.
It obviously needs post-processing as you can see from the pics. I changed my mind about having gauges and so I'll never finish this project purely because I'd never use it - hence passing it on in case someone else takes an interest in it and half the work is already done (Well, the 3D Printing (PETG) and fixing in place etc etc)
