Ash tray cover - should I wrap

Cleaned my interior this weekend, when I cleaned the ash tray cover the paint came off, it gets used a lot as my iPod is in there,

Has anybody tried wrapping it before? Do you have any photos or guides, ive never tried wrapping anything before but I'm normally quite good at things like that, might wrap the door handles to match as there is a scratch on one

Don't want it to stand out like a boy racers saxo though.

Some wraps

i did the same thing, i used a harsh abrasive cleaner as it look grubby and the paint rubbed off, i never thought of wrapping in as id prefer to keep it original but im gonna keep an eye on your progress if thats ok with you?

i wrapped mine in carbon fibre vinyl as it had scratches and missing paint

how did you get a tidy finish underneath? does the flap split into two pieces? it looks like it might but I havent taken it off yet

thought I would probably try the brushed metal look to match the other bits in the car, 3M do brushed steel and brushed aluminium, does anybody know which would be the closest match?
