You have the 3.0, which I think would be perfectly happy on Tesco 99 and I doubt you will have any issues what so ever.
As I have the M, they seem to be so sensitive with their O2 sensors that I would rather stick with V-Power, even if it is just to put my mind at rest that if a sensor does go, I have at least done everything I could to avoid it rather than thinking that I should not have got that tank full from station xyz.

I've been running my M on 95ron exclusively for the past 4-5 months. I mostly buy from Sainsbury's as i can get it for £1.25 a litre currently. Previously i ran on BP ultimate. I've noticed no difference in performance or economy since switching.
The owners manual states:

Super Plus/premium plus petrol, octane number 98 RON. Fill up with fuel of this grade whenever possible, so that the nominal performance and fuel consumption values are achieved.
The minimal permissible grade is:
Premium grade unleaded petrol, octane number 95 RON
97RON is the highest you get get over here in NI anyway.
I drive 1000+ miles a month and get up to 33mpg on 95 with no issues at all!

I've run my M predominantly on Tesco 99/Momentum for about 36,000 miles and have had the following number of O2 sensors fail - 0.
Not only that but it's cost me a lot less and has given me free return eurotunnel journeys every year.
That said if I had the slightest doubt that the car ran better on Vpower, which I ran my M3 on almost exclusively, I would be using it. I don't though and find my car more responsive and less likely to kangaroo on Momentum.

I put one or two tanks of 95 in my M when i first got it.
I'd say it was around 10% down on power, especially higher up the range when it comes on-cam. I would be amazed if it's making more than 300bhp at the red line on the ordinary stuff. And it sounds nasty too.
I feed it 98/99 out of mechanical sympathy, and because when i bought it i wanted a fast car.
My current dilemma is whether to try Total Excellium, which is their super (i think it's 97) as it's slightly cheaper round here. I also use the Waitrose stuff (it's BP ultimate)
