Artificial grass

Last year i landscaped my garden and to finish it off I want to get the turf up and put a good artificial grass down. Now I'm not going to do this myself as I don't have to time nor do I want to make a dogs dinner of it! And plus the dogs make a right state of the current lawn!
I've had quotes all over the place, turf itself seems to be about £22per meter squared for a nice one. My grassed area is in total 40m2.
My question is to any landscapers or anyone who has had it done what is a reasonable installed price on this size based on around £22 per meter sq? It's frying my brain a bit!

Had mine done last year, best thing I ever did in the garden. Looks great, zero maintenance and even the dog and his toxic piss can't ruin it.

I remember I had a load of choice regarding the quality, I went middle of the road and the grass itself was less than £10 sp.m and is decent enough quality to walk on. I can't remember the exact amount but the grass area was 30sq.m and the quote was around £1.5k all in.

If you want top of the range stuff that feels like the softest grass then I was quoted around £70 sq.m to fit.

Edited by me as I realised my maths was absolutely dreadful and it didn't make any sense. Basically fitting costs are the highest bit.
 
Ok so maybe my quote was about right, I just found installation costs nuts! Here's my maths

40m sq @ £23 - £920

Materials I worked out to be about £200 or there about for the timber frame, hardcore, crushed contrete and sharp sand required

And my main quote was £2880 fitted. So say for arguments sake £1400-1500 for materials and the turf itself that's a hell of a lot for about considering that they do it all in one day too? Just seemed way over the top to me for a fitted price?! Maybe I need to not be such a tight git?
