Artic drivers

As an ex member of the fuzz, this is a great thread. This sounds like Tim felt there was room to move into the space and the lorry driver had decided he wasn't letting him in. Mixture of understanding other motorists needs and a bit of consideration has got lost somewhere in the mix.

Either way, the artic was playing a dangerous game. One press of the horn should be enough to let someone know you're not impressed and even then, that can be inflammatory.

Also, if anyone think that getting out for a "chat" isn't going to escalate into a punch up, they are very naive. Unless you are willing to get involved on a full scale punch up on the street and ultimately being arrested for a road rage offence, I would stay in the car until you absolutely have no choice.

Never pays to get involved in "road rage " verbal or physical - you never know who is going to step out of the other car

When I was young ( so long ago ) got in to a bit of stand off with a white van that had been tailgating me late one night - stopped and two big ( and I mean big ) tattooed lumberjacks got out and threatened to dismember me piece by piece - they called some pretty outlandish names - I just agreed with everything they said about me which seemed to placate them so I retained my teeth for another day.

That was my understanding at the start. Hence, unless you are prepared to risk the inevitable consequences. Run away!

I fancy a dash cam but not the dangling wires!

No dangling wires for me, all hard wired in using a piggy back fuse holder so no messing with electrics either.

How could I hang back when the lorry driver on the right came and blocked my path? It wasn't a case of me trying to get in between 2 lorries. Left lorry was there first, me 2nd and right hand lorry came up the third lane, trying to barge himself into my lane.

Nowhere to go basically. It is difficult trying to explain things like this online. I know a dash cam would be far far better. Need to invest in one.

Very true, as they say a picture says a 1000 words, and video even more :lol:

Wouldn't be without my cam now. Had too many close shaves.
