Arrests in UK for not wearing a mask

That’s a much better way of doing it, I had just assumed I had to wait for the appointment to be offered.

My 12 weeks would be mid May so I’ve put it in my calendar to remind me a week before, so that I can chase it if I haven’t heard anything, but I think having it pre-booked is the way to go.

I booked my first one after I received a txt from my gp surgery with a link to a website to book it on. Perhaps if I’d rang instead I might have been offered the 2nd date.

My route was through a letter from NHS, inviting me to book through an online system. This sets up dates and time for both first and second doses.

Just went back to the original site where I booked the 1st jab in the hope it would let me book the 2nd one.

It didn’t, it just says my practice will be in touch nearer the time.

My surgery gave me an appointment card for my 2nd one when I went in to receive my 1st one. I’m sure Mr Tidy said he’d had the same.

Looks like it’s down to individual practices/health boards how they do this.

In some respects it does seem simpler to ring 119.

Yeah, seems ours are doing it a bit differently. I’d prefer to have the 2nd booked as it would remove anxiety of being missed! Hence putting it in my calendar.

I’m not actually in a high risk category, so wasn’t expecting it for several months. However, my wife has terminal cancer so I can only assume I got it because of that, although there were more “younger” people than I expected, so perhaps they are a bit ahead of schedule?

Whatever the reason, I feel really privileged to have got it,

Actually seem to be flying through them now. I fell into the 56 category that was released on Sunday morning.

I had my jab at my GP surgery and set an alarm date in my phone for twelve weeks with an early warning set !

Yep, I did that also.

Actually quite impressed with myself for being so organised...

Spot on. My sister did as well, although she had hers done elsewhere.

Like you say it seems to vary by region.

Wonder if it’s because I had mine done at the leisure centre.

They were jabbing for several surgeries. I had to say which was my surgery so they could tick my name off the list, it was all paper based.
