Armrest snap in phone adapters?

Not sure if its a standard fit but I have one of these currently with a blank adaptor but pins ready underneath.
With the current cradle can I play music from an iPhone or iPod?

No, you have to buy the snap in adapter to fit your device. Stupidly expensive too.

Don't think the cradle allows you to stream music though, think you still need USB for that.

With the right snap in adaptor you can even watch videos while stationary (not that I've ever tried) - I use the media snap in with plugin (there is no iPhone 5 adaptor yet so no problems there) to stream spotify music with cover art etc

It's not just about the adaptor, if the car does not have the right options it will not play music, get emails, go on net etc..

Can't remember the option codes off hand.

It would be good to plug an old iPod in and be able to stream and select tracks with the steering wheel controls

Do you have usb? I used to have an ipod connected, but now use a teeeny weeny 32GB usb memory stick and just copy my itunes music onto that. Once the car has organised it, it works exactly the same as having an ipod connected.

I have the standard phone charger and antenna booster adaptor which is £70. There is also a media adaptor that will allow playback of music which is £150. You may need extra options to get the media adaptor to work however so I'd speak with your dealer.
