Arm Rest/Cubby Hole Cover Broken Hinge

So not a clue what happened, though im blaming the wife as she touched it last :x

Anyhow the flap that you close that hides away the nav/cubby hole area is bust (number 5 in below pic). There is a hinge at the bottom with a plastic pin type thing either side at the bottom, which fits into a groove on the centre console bit to form a hinge and hold it in place. One side of the hinge, the plastic pin, has snapped off and the other isn't far behind.

Looking at realoem tells me you have to buy the entire flap which is going to cost somewhere in the region of £50-£80 :x If there is a know/simple fix then i would rather try that first.

Are you talking about the hinge or the part that turns the light on and off.

The actual hinge, there is almost nothing holding the 'flap' on anymore. When i tried to remove the nav disc this morning it (the flap) was basically only attached by the cable for the phone connection built into the flap. Fortunately one side had only popped out, where the other had snapped off.

Would a picture help?

I bought the two plastic hinges, a bit of a fiddle to change there is a how to on the net smewhere. I know you ned a very thin rod/alan key to realign the cover/hinges I tried to mend the broken hinge first but no luck

No that's fine, just trying to work out the exact issue.
