Pretty cool, tuned up also. 0-60 2.6s

Will never be used to fight crime, mad as a box of frogs on bumpy public roads. :)

I was reading about this on 'Piston heads' earlier today.
Bet there's a few volunteers down the station to take that out on there shift

Total and absolute waste of time.

There's little, if anything, to admire about the police, and this is yet another step towards isolating them from those who they are supposed to serve.

Disgraceful.

I would say its a safe bet that most of us on here have "chipped in" for for this

LoL Got to love it.

Spent two hours waiting for a flight a few months back. Nice cchap from Aerial sat opposite me. Chatted cars pretty much solid.

Never be used in anger but what a riot. :D

Are you for real?
This will be a freely provided car from Aerial to the police and be used to attend shows, biker meetings and similar to engage and educate.

Anybody who thinks taxpayer cash has been spent on this needs to go and have a lie down in a darkened room for an hour.

+1

just to give you the "low down" on the "funding" question:

Avon and Somerset Police borrowed the Atom from local manufacturer Ariel for the summer while it promotes a new road safety campaign aimed at slowing down speeding motorcyclists.

Smacks of the fuss about the McLaren (linky) - lots of "waste of tax payers money" conversations as people read the headline but not the detail

Yep, it's only the emirates that actually DO use supercars as police cars isn't it?!
