Me lovely chums bought me a day in one for my 50th at the weekend, I'll save it for next spring when the weather is better, I've always wanted to try one and being unrestricted it should be great. Anyone tried one? Was it as mad as it looks? Tried a 355 once on track but this should be on a different planet. I used to do quite a lot of karting in my youth, the prospect of purity in handling and little weight has really woken me up again, can't wait..!!

Owned an Atom2 with a couple of mates previously. Mega fun and stratospheric acceleration. Easily lost with an overexuberent right foot when not on top rubber in totally dry conditions and can be quite unforgiving in that respect.
Seats are fixed- its one big moulded piece of plastic so reach to wheel and pedals can be compromised if not adjustable.
Wear a helmet and racing suit if available or certainly warm attire as even 15mins in the height of summer can get chilly!
Hopefully it'll have a sequential box, unlike ours, and then you can focus more on blipping through the acceleration than on trying to achieve well-timed gear changes.

Cheers Jim, doing some light work this week now. Only snag is timing the track day around heart op's, Sod's law states they'll clash, however there's a year on the ticket so should find a gap to go, really quite excited, they look mad as a box of frogs..!! :lol:
